Door for CBCT X-ray Rooms

Dental CBCT is new technology used in dentistry to X-ray their patients’ teeth. It is typically associated with higher radiation levels delivered to patients and potentially to Staff in the practise than other dental X-ray equipment. Due to this potential for higher doses heath facilities need to ensure that they are doing everything they can in order to keep their staff and patients safe.

Radiation is an important tool in medicine; however, it is quite dangerous if an individual is exposed to for certain amounts of times or level. When not used appropriately it can have negative side effects and long-term health issues. Among other symptoms of radiation poisoning, it can include nausea, vomiting, dehydrations, open sores on the skin, bruising and much more. So, it is vital that we are protecting the staff that will be administrating these X-rays multiple times a day.

To do so, lead lined doors are made to block radiation from leaving the room, allowing other patients in the practice and staff to be hidden from its effects. The doors are made to measure, which means that the doors can fit different sizes of opening. This allows there to be extra protection, so that no radiation can leak through.

At The X-Ray Door Company, we have a range of lead lined doors with different finishing and looks. We have a lot of experience creating these doors which we do using our tried and tested manufacturing methods, which gives maximum radiation protection.

When selecting what doors are going to be placed in dental practices, you don’t just need to think about radiation protection, even though that is the most important factor. You also need to consider other issues that need to be addressed, such as noise reduction and fire safety. Leaded X-ray doors can provide both of these protections, allowing your staff to get the quiet workspace they need and still comply with fire safety regulations.

Although the look of the door might not be on the forefront of your mind, we have design finishes that can help you match your door to the practice’s aesthetic and tailor it to what you want. We have multiple colours of doors available, some with a window in, so you are still able to see your patient.
